JOHN CERBONE, PHD
CERTIFIED HYPNOTIST
2011

Why a Hypnotist?  Did you know that most professional sports teams have a hypnotist on staff or on call to help players stay mentally fit!

Dr. Cerbone has done seminars throughout the country and has appeared on Fox News and on MTV in the show “Hypnotize My Roomate.”  In 2011 at Inspiration Running Camp, Dr. Cerbone discussed ways to visualize success while training/racing!  He performed a group relaxation technique and even hypnotized a few campers!

TOM FLEMING
2x NYC MARATHON CHAMP
2012

Tom has a storied running career in the marathon.  He won the NYC Marathon two times (1973 and 1975) and finished second in Boston twice (1973 and 1974) as well.  In 1977, at the “unofficial”  World Marathon Champs in Fukuoka, Japan, Tom finished in 5th place.  At one time, Tom held the American records in the 15 mile, 20 mile, 25k, 30k and 50k distances.  He has broken 2:20 in the marathon 27 times and has a best of 2:12.05. Tom spoke at our camp in 2012 and was very well received by our campers. We look forward to having Tom back in 2013!

Charlie had a phenomenal H.S. career at New Dorp H.S. while setting S.I. and PSAL records from the 1,000 to 3,200 meters.  In H.S., he ran 2:25 (1,000), 4:09 (3:51 - 1500), 9:00 (3,200), 9:14 (Steeple) and 12:36 at VCP.  In college, he was a 2x All-American for Indiana.  His career best in the 1500 came at the Santa Monica Classic where he ran 3:37.46, which converts to a 3:54 mile.  At the 1992 Olympic Trials, he took 4th missing a qualifying spot on the Olympic team by 6 tenths.  In total, he ran the equivalent of 15 SUB 4 MILES! Professionally his PR's are 1:46 in the 800 and 3:54 in the mile.  In 2011, Charlie answered a lot of questions about racing at the top level.
